  • We’ve been hard at work over at Dramhaven and wanted to post an update on what’s been going on around town!

Croissants in particular spent a lot of time building individual spaces in our town center. We now have a farmer’s cottage, an apothecary shop, a blacksmith, and other spaces for our craftspeople. Dreamz and I finally moved our storage over to the new storage area we finished building. Drama has been busy working on the city’s underground, and it’s pretty amazing what he’s been doing down there. Dreamz built a beautiful pathway and a house with a nice vaulted ceiling. Of course, Signetta and Eric pop in to save our butts whenever we’re in a bind or have a question!

  • Having a wonderful time in Enshrouded with my lovely new Gaymer Discord friends. I am happily hosting the server for a wonderful bunch of us who have been working on building a small village, upgrading skills, and questing. It’s not the greatest of pictures, but you can see most of the village. I wanted you guys to be able to look back and see the progress. It’s a start!

  • It was a nice trip to downtown Charleston with my friend. I ate a Greek salad with chicken then stopped by our local independent book store called Taylor Books. Taylor Books has a small art gallery where they display art from local artists. They also sell things other than books. I ended up getting a pair of Charleston socks!

  • I just got back from Coonskin. It reminded me just how much I love hiking in the fall. My mom bought me a sign because of how much I used to love to hike, plus it happened to be rainbow-colored. I hung it in my room after my wreck to motivate me to get back to it. The sign hangs above a painting I purchased from a street artist in Venice Beach during my time living in Southern California.

When I lived there, I used to take the long drive all the way to Death Valley just to hike the canyons. I miss that. I purchased a camera around that time and would take it with me to take pictures of the canyons and valleys. I still have the pictures. That was one reason I was so happy to get the server I posted on this site running again; it has a backup of all my pictures from that time.

  • I took pics and notes on the progress of my Jeep v8 swap that I planned to post on my other page. Why not post it here? Sooooo….Here are some random pics of parts and me prepping my Jeep/Chevy V8 conversion. The throttle body, AX-15 transmission, Np-231 transfer case, bell housing, motor mounts and transmission to transfer case adapter plate kit purchased from Novac. I was also prepping the heads (lapping the valves) to go back onto the engine. I pulled the donor engine from a Chevy 1500 truck.

I’ll update this post over time. Believe it or not, I still have some of the parts and still have all of the tools. I am slowly working toward making space to do projects like this again.

  • Ran some errands and had lunch at Adelphia today with a friend. Heard this song on the radio too. It’s from a relatively newer album, so I hadn’t heard it. Just glad I found it.

Anyway, it’s been in my head and on repeat since I heard it on Rock 105.

  • Grabbed the paint and got started earlier, but now it looks like rain. I’ll share a pic though it looked worse ten minutes ago. Think I’ll wait for it to pass before jumping back in.

  • Grabbed some stuff from my storage unit today. Some of its useful for building shelves for the new shed. Always surprises me how little is left there. I’ve slowly incorporated my things into the house, whether that be upstairs or stored away downstairs.

Anyway, its time to be done with the storage unit now that I have the shed at the house.

  • This is a place to archive a snapshot of my life for family, friends, and whoever else stumbles across my path. I don’t like using other mainstream alternatives to do such a thing, so here we are.

I noticed the site getting “outside traffic” since going live yesterday or the day before, which is fine. Most likely, it’s being fed to people through WordPress or something. My main goals with the site are to share some of myself while I am here, sharpen my recall of my day to day, and add to my a list hobbies.

I have a Twitch channel by the same name. Can’t say how much I’ll do with it, but I have it. SklirosZoe @Twitch

Note: As the title states, the skliroszoe.com domain is now active. You can simply type that into the address bar now, and it won’t redirect you.

  • I’ll tell the full story here some time. Was a nice shot and a tough haul out of a ravine. This was a deer I got during a hunting trip with a family member at the time from a few years back.

  • My old jeep that I upgraded to take off-roading with family and friends.

  • The building came last Saturday.

  • Just a little progress today.

    Bedroom side before cleanup.

    After a little cleanup.

  • *Work in progress* The server I built for local backups of pictures and things is back up and running.

I sourced the “brains” of the operation from an e-waste recycler in Virginia. The rack server pictured below was used as a cheap way to get high end parts for a home backup server. There were two problems: form factor and noise. Rack servers are meant for racks stacked on top one another typically in server farms. In this environment, rack servers can be as loud as they need to be to keep the components cool. Stacking the servers like this keeps the components dense, thereby increasing productivity per square inch. I just needed one machine.

Long story short… I pulled the CPU and RAM then salvaged whatever else from the rack server. The components I decided on the Silverstone CS 380 case.

[Noctua NH-D9DX i4 3U, Premium CPU Cooler for Intel Xeon LGA20xx (92mm, Brown) NF-A9 92mm fan with PWM support and Low-Noise Adaptor for automatic speed control and ultra-quiet operation….Seasonic FOCUS GX-650…… WD Red Plus 4TB NAS Hard Disk Drive – 5400 RPM Class SATA 6Gb/s, CMR, 64MB Cache, 3.5 Inch – WD40EFRX]

    HP ProLiant DL380p Gen8 | 2x Xeon E5-2640 @ 2.5GHz | 64GB RAM | 4x 300GB SAS 15K

    Complete.

  • Was a chore but it’s much brighter down there now.

  • Adjusting CPU and GPU voltages along with fan curves. Trying to get the most out of Alpha V2.

  • Had to remove the switch to the bluetooth light/fan in the bathroom today. Needed the numbers off it to order a new one to get it working again.
